Review
” Good Things Never Last  ” sounds exactly like the old classic Heavy Metal . Same sounds and same depth. Heavy as it gets with the bass guitar, distorted and being way up front to the mix, giving the entire outcome this great Canadian Heavy sound. The songs though are louder as they can be.8 songs in 36 minutes. How do you like that ? And not only in duration. I mean the guys literally breathe Heavy Metal  even if this is expressed through a rabid blastbeat or an uptempo simple 4/4 beat , the music is  leaving the listener fully satisfied . The band are clearly stand-out material, especially after the second and third listens of the album, as each listen you become to observe the chilling presence that Device provide. This is used wisely in ” Into the Sun ” , one my personal favourites on the record.Â
Wow, it’s not often I’m lost for words but this may be  their  best relases . All I can say is if you are looking for an album that is different, that takes repeated listens and explores many different corridors of sound without drifting off into some pretentious hipster shit show. If you want an album that you can spend time on and get lost within then look no further.
