Speedclaw describes their music as Speed / Thrash Metal ” with this I’m totaly agree, and I would describe their music as old school Speed Meal with a strong latter part of the 90’s feel. This is reflected in the band name: SpeedClaw It is also reflected in their song titles: ” Razarač”, “Power From Hell” and the awesome Excister Cover ” Heavy Metal Manaic . But foremost it is apparent in their music, the Thrashy and faster guitar and bass sound, the riffs are very often reminiscent of Maniac , as well are the brutal drums and straightforward song structures. Sure there is also a strong Speed Thrash metal influence with the frequent use of hammer blasts and some of the more groovier riffs are reminiscent of ADX, Slayer and Agent Steel . But hey, the music is straightforward, catchy aggressive with a nice and dirty sound.
Sound wise its old school Speed metal good and proper. Of course it brings to mind the golden era of the 90’s but everything sonically benefits from a modern recording. It’s along the lines the like with a bit of classic metal in terms of structure and the guitar leads etc. It’s quite varied in tone and tempo, the tracks are thought out and the album flows nicely.Music like this are the very reason those of us who go beyond the surface of metal. so If you are a fan of old school Speed Thrash metal you simply need this EP ” iron Speed”, add it to your collection and pretend it’s been there all along , Overall I like this record very much, it grows on me every time I listen to it.
