A breath of fresh air into the heavy metal music scene. One of the greatest new acts of its kind is Hell Fire, Founded in 2010 in San Francisco, California. The band is rapidly overtaking and destroying each and every competitor; and there are many reasons why.
Musically, Hell Fire owe their sound to the god fathers of metal. They follow in the footsteps of Iron Maiden, Accept, Judas Priest, Metallica and more – they certainly are generating abundant exhilaration wherever they roam. Pulling from multiple musical genres with their mix of twin guitar leads, soaring vocals, heavy fast riffs and pounding bass leads. With the release of their debut album Metal Masses. Hell Fire has received acclaimed reviews from all over the globe and are carrying that momentum into the studio this spring to record their sophomore album. Those legendary acts mentioned above would easily fill stadiums even today. Their timeless music has survived decades of trends and fashions. It has inspired multiple generations of heavy metal and hard rock acts and is once again spreading to the forefront of rock. It is hard music, music with groove, music that is authentic and true to its roots. It can fill the largest of arenas to enthrall millions of concertgoers around the globe.
I love to discover this kind of thing, bands totally unknown to my ears and that surprise me pleasantly for its originality and power. Originally from North America (more precisely from San Francisco) Hell Fire is a destructive machine. In their bandcamp account they themselves are presented as “… Hell Fire pulls influences like the twin guitars and soaring vocals of New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement of the late 1970s combined with the speed and intensity of the early 1980s Thrash Metal Scene …” And there is no other way to try to put their music into words. “Metal Masses” is a work that reveres many bands that appear from different branches (Iron Maiden, the first Slayer, the first Helloween, Accept, Metallica and more)
Rapid rhythms and half marches dominate the album (but not tiring). With guitars solos very inspired and melodic (as I like them) and a voice of Jake Nunn hard and vigorous. Some songs to highlight?? I really cannot choose any songs; the whole album is a complete masterpiece. A record that no one should let passes, really. Hell Fire is an example of power, darkness and melody. For many albums with the same power !!!Â
