Q1 . First of all, I want to thank you for the opportunity.  How are things With Therion ?

A1 . Everything´s just fine thanks. The rehersals with the new drummer Fredrik Andersson (ex Amon Amarth) has been good, but of course the circumstances with Christofers health is not that good, but we try to see it positive and looking forward to his recovery.

Q2. Let us go to the beginning of the band. How and when did you decide to form or to join  the band?

A2. Therion was formed by Christofer already in 1987 and I have only been a part of the band since 2008. When the Niemann brothers and the drummer quit in 2007 me and Johan Kullberg was recommended by Thomas Vikström and it all worked out fine – so then we became full members.

Q3. Was it easy for you to find a line- up from the start?

A3. Quite easy actually. We just did a try-out and played 2 songs at a so called audition, and then Christofers said “It sounds good – just like it used to do” – so then it was all clear – we became members of Therion.

Q4 . Could you describe the writing and recording process for Therion ? Was there anything special behind the writing that really set the pace, in regards to ideas, experimentation etc?

A4. Christofer writes quite much of the songs but he´s also very openminded about having other coloborators for the song writing. When I joined he asked me to write something for the Sitra Ahra album when he didn´t even know if I was a song writer or not. It all ended with that he and I wrote a song together for that album.

Q5. Are you still excited each time you enter a studio to start recording?

A5.Of course ! It´s always very exciting and fun to record. But I also have to confess that the french album and now the rock opera is not really what I personally would like to do. I would rather record an album with material in the likeness of “Secret Of The Runes” “Theli” and so on….. but Christofer is the boss….so……we do what he wants in the first place…

Q6 Therion  always had talkin about  Mythology, Occultism, Ancient religions in Lyrical themes the music resonates through your discography. Where do those Lyrical themes come from?

A6 .I think the idea comes from Christofer, and then he leaves the ideas to Thomas Karlsson who is a professor in mythology  and history so he writes the lyrics and they become realistic to the music.

Q7 . Can you remember the first album you fell in love with?

A7. My personal one ? Deep Purple “in Rock” ! If I should chose a Therion album: “Secret of the runes” !

Q8 .Tell me a little about the band Future ?

A8 . Next step is the Rock Opera that hopefully will have its release in september-october 2017.After that – Who knows ?

Q9. Are you touring soon?

A9. It´s all depending on what shape Christofer will be in….. If he will be worse maybe he will find a replacement…….. But a tour with Therion won´t happen until earliest october 2017.

Q10  Do you have an idea about Tunisia Metal Scene ?

A10 . Sorry, but I don´t know anything about that. I hardly listen to any bands today or listen to very much music…… I even don´t know what´s going on in the Swedish music scene
