Witchtower born in Jaén (Andalusia, Spain) in 2012, is a solo project from Víctor de la Chica, a Heavy rock musician from Jaén (Spain) Witchtower is oriented to NWOBHM, and had been recorded all instruments and the compositions by himself. But Witchwower is a live band, it have professional musicians who make the Witchtower’s sound totally real. In april of 2013, Witchtower release by YouTube his first EP “Return to the Witches’ Castle”
Second work of this great Spanish band. Hammer of the witches is definitely an album superior to the previous one of the 2014, I am not saying that its first disc is bad. The ideas that I did not close in “Witchtower” in “Hammer of the Witches” are much better appreciated. Of course, the darkness in each song is what predominates, which reminds me bands like Diamond Head, Angel Witch and perhaps Blue Oyster Cult for certain progressive segments. Miguel Ortega with his particular voice ring, give Witchtower his trademark. Songs to highlight? All really, all the tracks on this album are hymns of the most prolific Speed / Heavy Metal of dirty sound, rooted in the darkest of NWOBHM. “Witchtower, Hammer of the Witches” is pure gold.
